Compare every Mykonos tourA half-day or full-day sail out of one of six jetties, anchoring off Rhenia — the uninhabited island west of Mykonos — for a swim, with a meal and drinks served aboard. Most of them pass Delos. Three of them stop there. That is the whole category, and the differences inside it are what this page is about.
You are not on a ferry. These are small vessels, twelve to twenty-five guests on the cruises, and boarding is often by tender from a beach jetty rather than a quay.
Rhenia has no road, no jetty and no village. Its bays sit out of the north wind and the water stands over pale sand. There is no bus, no taxi and no walk that gets you there.
Six of the eight boats here feed you, most with wine and beer running through the afternoon. At Mykonos restaurant prices that is a substantial part of the fare back.
Little Venice, the windmills and the harbour read completely differently from the water, and the sunset sailings are built around exactly that.
Three of these carry a written captain's-discretion term in the booking. When the meltemi is up they sail the sheltered south coast instead of cancelling, which is why a windy forecast rarely costs you the day.

If you have three days, do both — the three-day guide puts them on consecutive days for a reason. If you have one, the question is whether you want the water or the island.
Price band: From $44 to From $177 per person. Duration: three hours for the sunset party boat, five to six for everything else. Booking window: three to five days ahead in July and August, when the capped boats fill; a day or two in May and October. Time of day: take the morning if the wind matters to you, because the meltemi builds through the afternoon and eases overnight.
Season runs roughly April to October, thinning sharply in November. The best time to visit has the dates.
